Micro-Cap Installer (HINSTALL)

If you are downloading the update file for MC5 Version 2, the Hinstall.zip file must also be downloaded if your current MC5.EXE file is dated prior to 1998. Unzip the file MC52.ZIP and place the MC5.EXE file into your MC5 directory. Unzip the file HINSTALL.ZIP. The HINSTALL.EXE file needs to be run with the command switch '-i'. Go to the Run option in your Windows system. This is available under the File menu for Windows 3.1, and the Start menu for Windows 9x, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000. The HINSTALL.EXE file must be run as:

HINSTALL   -i

This installs the latest security key driver which must be present to run the update. Reboot your system before loading Micro-Cap.

If this does not work, remove the old driver and then reinstall the new one as follows:

HINSTALL   -r

This removes the old driver. Then to install the new driver, type:

HINSTALL   -i

Reboot your system before loading Micro-Cap.

 

Latest version of HASP Security Key Driver (HINSTALL)

HASP4_driver_cmdline.zip

The Hinstall.exe file present in the ZIP file needs to be run with the command switch '-i'. Click on the Start menu in Windows and select the Run option in the menu. In the Run dialog box, enter the full path (either manually or through the Browse option) for the Hinstall.exe file. At the end of the string, hit the spacebar, and then type in -i. For example, if the files in the ZIP file were extracted to the path C:\HASP, the Run dialog box should contain a string such as:

C:\HASP\Hinstall.exe   -i

This installs the latest security key driver which must be present to run the update.

If this does not work, remove the old driver and then reinstall the new one as follows:

%path%\Hinstall.exe   -r

This removes the old driver. Then to install the new driver, type:

%path%\Hinstall.exe   -i

where %path% is the location that the files were extracted to. A message should appear that states the driver has been successfully installed.
